MK1

AVRO recently tested its MK1 rocket through a series of flight trials in Southern Alberta, Canada. The MK1 rocket uses a hybrid rocket motor, customized flight electronics and ground support equipment to launch a 5kg payload to 30,000ft serving as a test bed for our customer’s CubeSats and a stepping stone towards our MK2 and MK3 rockets.

The MK1:

• 6 inches in diameter x 16ft long

• On-board camera

• Real-time telemetry link

• 2-stage recovery system

• Engine throttling and restart capability
